Lady Lavender

I never wear lavender. At all. When I was in fourth grade my mother insisted on making me wear a lavender dress for a photoshoot, and I've detested the colour ever since.

Now, I can't seem to get enough. Lavender nails, lavender toes, even Lady Lavender in Clue! I've also heard lavender lipstick is the new red? So when I recently tucked this lavender Free People dress as my second item on Bib and Tuck I realized I was turning over a new leaf, a lavender leaf. If y'all don't remember I posted a little about Bib & Tuck over Thanksgiving break, check out my post here. Essentially I got this lovely lavender dress for putting up some old shoes I didn't wear anymore. Pretty neat huh?

I was asked to be featured in a blogger spread by CHICSA Magazine recently! Among 5-6 other bloggers I was given the opportunity to give the readers a new spin on a popular summer/fall trend. I chose fringes & frills as my summer/fall trend. I was asked to recreate the look in five to six different ways. Obviously I'm not going to share the whole post with you because you'll see it in the magazine (; but I thought I'd share with you my first look.

I am perpetually amazed with bloggers who can keep a leather jacket strewn on their shoulders. It's a lot more difficult than it seems. Man, I could barely keep this jacket on my shoulders while running across the street. In my hands I have my near and dear first generation kindle in an orange Marc by Marc Jacobs kindle case. For the kindle being first generation these Marc cases are pretty pricey, luckily I got this one for $25.99 on eBay. I'm slowly learning to keep my friends close and my kindle even closer. I am also wearing a lavender lace dress from Free People which I tucked on Bib & Tuck, leather jacket from Aeropostale, shoes Tommy Hilfiger.
