Fun fact: I LOVE Gilmore Girls. Or as I normally say Gilmore Girls is my entire life. I've seen every episode at least 20+ times, and I'm not afraid to say it. I started watching the show in seventh grade after I'd get home from school. I even got my best friend to love it, and ever since then it has become a part of my life. Once when I was working at Starbucks someone told me I should be on Gilmore Girls. Probably the best compliment I've ever received.
This dress was one I had an eye on for awhile. Much-discussed on the revival was Rory's lucky dress. Red dress, full skirt! I somehow managed to snag this on Poshmark for $25. Recently I have been getting more into red (and green nail polish). I love the casualness of this shirt dress. Plus knowing I have something worn on Gilmore Girls Day in the Life is huge for me.
I'm so glad I found this dress. Its so cute. I was nervous the sleeves might be too long, but I think they're just right.
I wouldn't be a true Gilmore Girl without coffee. I have been wanting to check out Cafe Equinox since I heard about it. Coffee + plants is my personal heaven.
Boy this place is cute and the espresso is even better! I had a vanilla latte (my reg). Its a great date and study spot.
I decided to bring out a couple of new accessories for my dress. I found this baker boy hat for $2 at Target. I had been on the hunt for a new hat because of the snow and all of my beanies seemed to have ran away. I really wanted a Brixton hat, but couldn't justify it since this trend seems very fast fashion. Nevertheless the $2 hat was the perfect fit. I like that these hats seem to be perfect with all kinds of outfits.
I brought out my child, my Gucci GG Marmont Matelasse Leather Super Mini Bag. I am obsessed with this thing. I spent so much time fixating on this purse and watching "what's in my bag" videos but it was so worth it. Its such a great size for an evening bag and its so stinking cute! You can fit your keys, a lipstick + chapstick, card holder, and your phone!
Hope everyone is enjoying their days of spring. It feels like such a blessing to have the sun shining on my face in Kansas City again. This cold winter has definitely made me grateful for every single plant that is blooming and the sunshine.
