I know fall has just begun but I am beginning to round up my inspiration and make my wish list for this season. Overall, I am inspired by elegant but minimalist looks, and monochromatic colors. My fall/winter uniform would be a cashmere sweater or turtleneck, skinny jeans, ankle boots, a classic leather bag, and glam makeup + a silk scarf somehow thrown in there. Here is some of my inspiration.
Recently I have become even more committed to the slow fashion movement. So I am really only trying to acquire new pieces that I am going to keep forever. Its a challenge to see how pieces will work so far down the road but I'm still out here wearing clothing I've had since 11th grade and getting compliments! This F/W I want to keep it casual but polished- think Emma Stone and Rooney Mara street style but a little more elevated. The only piece I have acquired from the Target 20 Years Design for All Collection is a Missoni silk scarf. Aside from that I have picked up another American Apparel turtleneck off eBay and I want a couple of cashmere sweaters. Its amazing how a few pieces can inspire you so much! I am challenging myself to wear what is in my closet but in different ways. Of course I need some O.P.I too!
