Part of the Plan

The changing of the seasons has brought me a renewed sense of contentment in this version of myself. Its hard to articulate but I feel so happy to be me these days. After a year that tried me. I've found a way back to myself and one of my most favorite versions.

The split dyed hair. It's always been the plan. Since I was 18. I've always said if I were to dye my hair this would be the thing I do. So when I came home from New York I met with my hairdresser Alex and then a week later we did it. I'm so happy with it.

Alex has been cutting my hair since I was 17 and it's funny to see how I've grown. I used to be so picky about how many inches he'd cut off of my hair. So fixated on those little things. Now I'm easy.

I look at myself differently these days. Less fixated on those little things, and more concerned about the things that actually matter. Being a good friend, taking care of my mental and physical health, protecting our planet,  and being kind to myself. 

I've made so many moves this year and this new hair is a small reward for the work I've put into becoming the truest/most authentic version of myself. What a journey its been. It certainly hasn't been easy, but it's been worth it.
